Indian Weddings

Indian Wedding filled with so many cultures and traditions that entertain the Indian people for several days. Indian weddings are full of enjoyment, ethnicity and devotion. Though the custom, beliefs and traditions are different among various religions such as Hinduism, Jainism, Sikhism and Islam, Yet there is a sense of unity in the Indian Weddings. Most of the Indian Marriages are arranged but still in urban areas one can witness love marriages as well. Indian Weddings lays more and more emphasis to the traditions and beliefs of a particular religion.

Although, the traditions and customs of Indian Marriages are countless, but one can witness three tier structure of Indian Weddings as Pre- Wedding traditions, Wedding day Traditions and post-wedding traditions. The pre-wedding traditions includes Mehndi Ceremony in which the hands and feet of the bride colors with heena. It also includes pooja, singing and dancing ceremony etc.

Indian Wedding cultures are countless and don’t end here. Even after marriage the fun and excitement continues for a very longer period of time. Indian Couples are the best example of the famous quote that “couples are made in heaven”.
